Amazing place. Was just there last week and curious how it looked “thawed” out. https://i.imgur.com/YsufBX8.jpg

Whoa did you get a chance to get to that "cave"?

That looks like a place you'd find a yeti but I don't think they live in places that thaw

We did not. Venturing from the trail was not possible without snowshoes and the upper falls area has ongoing trail maintenance with 2 sections closed.

I'm impressed you got a shot of the falls without a bunch of idiot tourists standing on the rock cliffs.

Wait, people do that!!?? When I reached the upper falls, there were hardly any people there.

I jumped across the top of those falls, 48 years ago. I think it's fenced off now. Good thing, it's a 100 ft drop. I think someone kayaked it though.

You what!? Yeah it's fenced off now. And someone kayaked through these falls? Brave souls all around the world is all I've got to say!

At first glance, I thought a railway passed over it! Just a very resistant stratum of rock, I see; is it accessible by trail?

the_lens_eyed OP t1_jdu9z7j wrote

Ahaha there's no railway or such :)Yes it is, it's a hour and a half to two hour trek.

Never seen these falls before, despite all the photos posted of the park. Thanks for posting!

Excellent capture. I feel like if I try hard enough I can hear it and smell it. 😌

Lol it definitely is not hidden

Not so hidden, but thanks!

Ha, I'm realizing that! I found one similar completely off the trail near a backpacking campground last summer, reminded me so much of it I assumed it had to be hidden! Beautiful shot none the less!
