Just to explain a little bit more about this....

You can see this view on a hike that is easily accessible from downtown Boulder. You start at the base in Chautauqua Park:

https://bouldercolorado.gov/locations/chautauqua-park

Follow the signs for 1st and 2nd Flatirons. The hike does involve about a 1,400 ft ascent, but I think can be done by anyone in decent shape, and if you can handle some uneven terrain/rocks. You get to the tippy top of them!

Whenever I think about mountains or canyons forming my mind always pictures the Flatirons. Never even been there but it’s on the list.

Hiked the flatirons a few times when I lived in Boulder and I never experienced it to be very crowded.

It’s obviously more crowded than most other trails in the area, but for being right next to Boulder it was definitely less crowded than I would have imagined.

Gorgeous! I just moved from Colorado back to Minnesota where I have lived most of my life. I loved about 20 minutes from there in Broomfield. I miss it there but, an also glad to be back home in Minnesota. Both states have their own unique beauty and both have a lot of awesome outdoor stuff to do.

It was a Saturday, so there were some people there, but it didn't take away from the experience for me. There were a bunch of rock climbers too. I saw 2 people standing on the tippy top of one!
