Someone made it up to the Sky Pond. Talk about an incredible hike. So worth the effort though.
This wasn't recent, was it? I heard it's been snowing up there. When my buddy and I hiked this a month ago, Timberline Falls was already freezing over, so the scramble was pretty interesting in a few places. I cannot imagine getting up there in snow and ice.

Not recent, this was from a little over a year ago. I imagine the falls scramble would be pretty sketch if iced over. We started hiking in the dark during the Perseid meteor shower, and saw a ton of shooting stars on the way up which was spectacular!

It is.
I made an attempt in November and I had to turn back there because of the loose snow. It smoothly covered a boulder field below the falls, so you couldn't tell if the next step was firmly on a boulder or over a deep hole. I made it to Sky Pond on my second attempt in April, but that was one of the most dangerous hikes I'd ever done.
