Interesting! I’m surprised I missed it somehow.
Looking at a map I wonder if I only took the west side of that trail back from Bryce Point. I thought I had hiked every mile in the Amphitheater but I guess not!

I’m pretty sure it was the side closest to the rim trail but I’m not 100%!
I hiked about 14 miles that day including accidentally hiking one of the horse trails (which was awesome because I was completely alone) so it’s all a bit of a blur. Definitely in the Amphitheater though because I didn’t have enough time to hike outside of it :(

Is this a natural tunnel or human built?

Reminds me of my ex-gf

Clearly the tunnel is just a painted illusion. Only a roadrunner could go through that.

I had gone to Yosemite, Zion, and Death Valley on that trip as well and Bryce was my favorite. It wasn’t impressive from a size standpoint like Yosemite or Zion where you’re driving in and looking up going “Woah” and feeling small, but the colors were like nothing I’ve ever seen. Quite literally took my breath away 🥲

Hoodoos are one of my favorite natural features I have ever seen. Plus I love that area of Utah, all the pines blending into the beginnings of red rock southern Utah.
