Also going in March. Any travel restrictions or any other effects from eruption on island?

No restrictions in general; some viewing sections are closed and where you can walk/view is clearly outlined.

The most notable thing was how hazy the western side of the island was. If the irruption is still going, you won’t get very good stargazing at night. Which I was kinda disappointed about. But the lava made up for it!

If it is still flowing 100% and go at night. Visit the NP during the day also, but see the lava at night. It’s significantly more stunning.
