August 21- mid April is aurora season for us. So anytime there is clear skies and a solar event. I like march personally as it’s not too cold

I'm better with snowy scenes so this should come out ok, the aurora will be fun, will probably use bob ross' wet-on-wet technique so I really blend the colors

Yes they did, I was watching from anchorage tonight punching the air lol

The stronger the lights get the easier it is for your the rods in your eyes to pick up the color. When the aurora is really weak it looks white like a cloud, and the camera always picks up the color better. But when the aurora is strong your eyes pick up the colors better because the camera blows out the highlights
