Awesome! I took this on the tail end of winter last year - Feb 2022. I can only imagine how nice it must've been deep in winter.

Oh man, I have to admit I was looking at the picture with some glare on my phone and didn't see the snow on the banks, yours is definitely a winter pic too! Here's the shot I got from back in December 2015:

I was thinking of visiting Yosemite but a lot of the roads will be closed, how was it in the winter?

Lovely time to visit tbh. The west, southwest, and south entrances are open. Only Tioga Rd - continuation of Hwy 120 to east exit - is closed. The valley is open year round - so lots of things to do still! In this same trip, we hiked Upper Yosemite falls, Mirror Lake, and Tuolumne Grove (of sequoias).

Glacier Point Rd is closed to private cars in winter BUT you can take the shuttle bus up. It turns into some sort of ski resort that time of year. I still have skiing in Glacier Point in my bucket list.

One April, a buddy and I X-country skied Glacier Pt. Rd. from Badger Pass all the way to Glacier Pt. That was a cool trip. We camped overnight at Glacier Pt. and skied back the next morning.

Some real X-country skiers were going out and back in like 2 hours.

2 hours is just wild! I don't know when, but I will ski there someday.
