What I meant was that using an AI algorithm as emotional support for a teenager or any young person who is still emotionally and mentally in development is not a good idea, at least the algorithms that we have now. In "M3GAN", the AI knew how to say and do the right things in order to manipulate a child who was already in shock and grief from losing her parents. Same goes with whoever is writing the algorithm in the first place. My understanding with the film "Her", at least it involved an adult who knew what he was dealing with.
