AI can only be a tool since it has no body. Try to work backwards. If you have no body, just a mind. But also no enjoyment or boredom. You would just be lobotomized and stare at the wall until someone tells you to think. That's the best a machine could do until some analouge of receptors can emulate a central nervous system.
