I don't get the reaction. Do you not need to eat? Are you counting on the kindness of strangers?

In capitalist society you can die in the streets and people walk right over your body. It is how the system works.

The more economic power you can wield, the more grows your power exponentially in appearence. Appearence gives gives you access to more power and thus more appearence. These are compounding effects setting some massively appart from the general population.

With enough credit for example, you can settle in a nice school district. You can bond with other parents and give your kids opportunities they would never have elsewhere.

It is more important to run with the right crowd than anything else. You can be lazy, dumb, incompetent, greedy, whatever, as long as you are plugged into with the right people your life will turn out better.
