Many of those who have lived and worked in space have highly specialized skills and knowledge that make their presence onboard a crewed vehicle or space station extremely valuable. However, these crews must also perform menial tasks as well, a reality necessitated by the costs involved in lifting crew and supplies into orbit. As commercial space vehicles grow larger and reusability continues to improve, it is likely that humanity will reach a point where it will be financially feasible to build facilities capable of supporting large numbers of people on the moon. At a certain price point, it will also make more sense to bring up dedicated workers to perform essential maintenance tasks, eliminating the need for specialists to perform these tasks. If the opportunity became available to be part of the maintenance crew for one of these bases, what type of work would yo be willing to do to live on the moon? Where would you draw the line?
