yes and for damn good reason. Sadly, this woman isnt "right" yet, she is allowing that to be her ONLY success that defines her and then if she slips up the guilt and weight of all this will make it way harder the 2nd time around. Someone is looking for validation and fame instead of working on their recovery

No, I think it’s a bad idea to feed this need for external validation because it isn’t healthy for addicts, which is why NarcAnon advises against it.

I think it's healthy for anyone to celebrate their successes. The idea that you shouldn't get pleasure from external validation is kind of ridiculous, along with a few of the other strictures of the various Anons. People are people, addicts or not
