Fun fact: Waste from the space station is disposed by throwing it down to earth without any heat shielding. The waste burns up completely on the way down.

So, the air in your lungs have a tiny bit of astronaut poop.

Don't care about the text, I just want to know where and what that statue is, it's marvelous.

This doesn't seem very motivating. If I'm already wonderful and soon to disappear, why would I do anything but wonder at my marvels?

It is the opposite of motivating to contemplate how we and everyone we know have no ultimate value and are ultimately doomed to be space dust.

No.

You are made of dirt.

Don’t be full of yourself.

The line about stars 🤩 whose light has already gone out spoiled it for me. Sure there are stars like that but nearly every star you can see without a telescope 🔭 is less than 1000 light years away and they live for billions of years. 💀

That's kinda the opposite of motivational. "You came from rocks and space dust. Do something with your brief existence or don't, ultimately, it doesn't matter because in the blink of an eye, that's all you'll be again."....thanks?

You want motivation? Check this out! As vast and seemingly infinite as the universe is, there is a being who created the whole thing and fits it in the palm of His hand. He created this rock that we live on, and made us from the dust and clay of the earth for the purpose of loving and worshipping Him, and loving and serving others. You have a purpose, you have a reason to be here, and best of all, the being who created everything wants a personal relationship with you for all eternity! Not as some space dust that contains your atoms, but isn't really you. He wants you to be His child and Him, your Father. He wants you to have inheritance in a kingdom that will last forever and give you a seat of power and authority in that kingdom. That's motivation, my friends. Trust in the Lord Jesus today and be a conscious, sentient, personal part of something eternal and greater than we can imagine!

It's incredible how poetic and insightful this can be while at the same time meaning almost exactly nothing.
