Where does commute to work fit in there? Many people drive hours for their daily commute.

Yeah I’m sitting at like 6 hours sleep, 12 hours commuting/working, and 6 hours of watching kids and then cleaning up kind of guy. If I get an hour a week, I’m doing good.

If I have a ten hour work day not including commute that's a damn good day tbh.

Honestly, I'd kill for 1 hour each day. But with 3 kids and a 50+ hour per week job I don't see it happening any time soon.

We should cross post this to Daddit (and the mum equivalent, obviously). I probably get an hour per day of phone scrolling in 3-6 minute chunks /while taking a dump at work.
poopiopeepio t1_j1unuxa wrote
You take 10-20 dumps per day at work?

What, sleeping doesn't count as part of your day? Thats optional?
How about... 1hr of your day. After 8 working, 1.5 commuting, and 7.5 sleeping.
Huh, 1/7 not including life chores. About 15%. Yeah, soooo easy to just repurpose that.

Work 615-515. 40min commute each way, sleep, prep food, eat, wash clothes, bathe, feed pets, all the other daily stuff.... where is this hour? And a mental reminder on the screens at work to 'nuture the green' and get at least 8 hours sleep...

I want you all to realize that without unions we would all be working much longer days and over the weekends. If you think you have no time now, just realize that those before us had it wayy worse

Good advice for unmarried people with no kids, house to clean, property to maintain, dishes, laundry, etc. But take what time you can, when you can.
