If you can, it's worth it to get a mailbox at UPS/FedEx/similar places. They can accept packages from other carriers (USPS po boxes won't do this), and your mail will be safe.

Actually many USPS PO boxes CAN get packages from other carriers - you just can't use the standard addressing scheme.
