We've all had that moment where you're in the shower and suddenly have an idea. The distractions are gone, you've got nothing to do but think, and something occurs to you. You remember that thing you need to get at the grocery store, you figured out the solution to a problem at work, you've picked the perfect movie for movie night.

But then by the time you get out of the shower, you've forgotten again.

This isn't going to work for everyone, but, when you think of something in the shower, write it on the shower wall with your finger. Different people 'learn' different ways, our brains are hard-wired to accept information in a couple of formats and not all of them will work for everyone. Some people are note-takers, and when scientists researched this they discovered something interesting. For a lot of people, they don't need to re-read the note. The act of writing it down, for some people, can help them remember something down the line.

So, give it a try. Maybe it won't work for you. Or maybe you're the sort of person that has an easier time remembering something if you write it down. Scribble whatever occurred to you. And maybe you'll find that after your shower, you still remember it.

I feel the same. I’m not much of a writer but when I remember how it was in school or occasionally Journal here and there, it’s always so apparent how writing manifests the thoughts in my brain.

Idk what the official term/word is, but I remember a lot of things when I'm doing "mundane" tasks or things that require virtually zero thinking.
