I loathe April Fool’s Day. My anxiety and PTSD is through the roof today in dread.

It's gotten so bad, we had a discussion today about it at work. Our boss told us to "be careful, and be kind." I mean, it's a Saturday, but he cared for us anyway and said that we needed to be wary because there are some pretty mean people out there.

PTSD person here. If you don't already have "tools" you can use to help feel in control, "the 5-4-3-2-1 exercise" will calm you down quickly. You can also go for a walk for around 10 minutes in the sun within a couple of hours first thing in the morning -- in addition to telling your melatonin clock exactly when to start its countdown, it proves to your limbic system that you are completely safe as there is no perceivable danger impeding you from an outdoor stroll.
