Yeah, this is a funny urban legend. It may work on the Mormon missionaries, not so much on us Witnesses..

If I am walking up to your house and see you carrying groceries in I will offer to help.

I won't waste my time mowing your yard, I have much more important things to do...

See, now this is how you should be doing it instead of cold calling. You need to start like a door dash thing, but instead of paying, people agree to listen to you for a set amount of time. For example, you help me carry in the groceries from Sam's Club, and you can evangelize to me for as long as that takes!
