You might not have the space to move your sofa closer. Personally, I'm extremely shortsighted so I'd have to literally sit 18 inches from any TV, especially if I wanted to see small details. My living space doesn't allow for that, however. It would make more sense for me to just get a larger television.

Cap. LPT: Get as big of a tv as you can afford. My mans gotta in house theater and it hiiiiiiiiiits.

Yeah but you also don't want the "front seats at the movie theater" effect either... where you have to keep moving your head around to see what's going on.. and your head is tilted up... I've seen people do that with a 100 inch screen.. and sitting only 8 feet away from it... which is nuts.

Ha... Okay that's kinda extreme.. I'm thinking maybe 47 inches.. Easily host you, your wife, and your 2 kids.

Hyperbole, right? But my 2 kids have a sibling, then they grew up and got married and had kids, so a family dinner around here is awesome, but watching a movie gets a little crowded. 🤣
