If you have trouble getting up, put your feet on the floor and sit up on the first ring. The blood pressure changes will signal your entire body that it needs to plan for your muscles to be active. This is why if you are laying back in a recliner and suddenly jump up, you can often become lightheaded from the pressure imbalance.

The sound of my dog or cat starting to vomit (the "hacking" sound) tends to snap me awake.

If I changed my alarm tone to that, I'd be awake in an instant ready to go.
