Yes, in most countries (where workers rights are actually respected, as opposed to America), an employer is required by law to give you a lunch break.

Geewhiz I wish there were some sort of law that protected laborers. Almost like some sort of “labor law.” The government should create a Department of Labor. Then that way it would be a legal requirement that you get to take a break. That would be too weird though, right? /s
