I know, plenty of folks use cards nowadays for their daily purchases and won't bother with cash that much anymore...
BUT if your fancy card will fail someday OR your favourite place won't accept it oneday, you'll have at least some cash as an emergency backup, just in case...
Personal experience: My bank card got declined 3 times in ATM, so i couldn't withdraw cash to get on a bus which don't accept cards... I had 20 euro bill under my phone case, so i took it out, swapped it in couple coins and got to me destination in peace.
