I've never done any of those things and my microwave is neither rusty nor moldy, swiped it once a week and I've had it for years.
How the heck are they microwaving? This is nuts.
This is way beyond us.
Cover your food. Clean it regularly. Leave it open to dry out.
You deserve to purchase new microwaves if your too stupid to cover your food or clean the food splatters after use.

Like rust, exposed metal oxidising in a microwave. This is trolling for whatever reason.
Shared microwave with 3 roommates. Maybe it's just that I live alone now 🤷♀️
I just wipe mine out with soap and warm water about once a week or whenever there is a big splatter of any kind. Looks brand new.
What the hell? Are never covering things and just splattering all over the interior and not cleaning it? My microwave is at least a decade old and no rust.
Jesus. Do you just pour the food onto the microwave plate directly?
