LPT Request: Peeing with tampon in?

I DREAD PEEING WITH A TAMPON IN - here's why:

• Wet string

• Wet, cold, and smelly underwear at the end of the day (result of above problem)

• Slower, less satisfying pee (seems the tampon pushes against my urethra from the inside a bit...?)

Some things I've tried:

• Holding the string out if the way when I pee. This sometimes works but othertimes I find the skirt just gets wet instead.

• Using a menstral cup instead works but I can't use a cup for the first 2 days of my period, it doesn't seem to seal properly when my cervix is low.

• Wearing panty liners can sometimes help with the wetness issue but not the smell.

• Wearing a pad instead of tampons comes with other discomforts I find worse than those I face with tampons.

• If I take my tampon out before every pee it works perfectly but it is wasteful.
