I work for a Lowell cannabis dispensary and we are really passionate about helping the community we work and live in. We are a diverse, empathetic group and want to be more active in the community.

Are there any charities or non-profits in need of some extra hands or boots on the ground? We would happily help in food kitchens, community clean ups, etc. and we're always up for unique ways to donate our times.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Thank you :)

Highly suggest joining in with the Litter Krewe. They are a good bunch of folks and it's more fun than it sounds. But it's also a great way to get involved initially and meet other people who share your interest in doing good things for the local community. It'll probably lead to you meeting people that know of other local situations that could put your generous efforts to work.

Lowell Transitional Housing needs all kinds of support and they are a wonderful organization. ltlc.org Also the Merrimack Food Bank on Broadway needs support. mvfb.org

So grateful to hear that your organization wants to help improve the lives of others in the community!

Dwelling House of Hope! We are always looking for more help, especially anyone who wants to be consistent with their volunteering hours. I've been working with them for over a year and it's always a wonderful time and the owner is amazing.

The Lowell Transitional living center allows groups to wait on clients for dinner. You simply go in at dinner time and bring people their meals & drinks so they don’t have to stand in line. If someone wants training, I serve a couple times a month, and would be happy to show a few people the ropes. Then you can pick a night each month that your group will serve a “sit down.”

Fantastic thread. My girlfriend just moved to the city and I've been trying to find things to do.

Thanks for all the responses!
