Is this a case of them threatening to kill off a shit ton of greenspace and then watching us breath a sigh of relief when they only kill off a metric shit ton? I really like that hammock park behind the arena.

1, 2, 5, and most of 3 are ugly paved surface lots. Im not even sure if the structure on 3 is utilized, but the grass/trees by it are nice

This is what it might look like after 47:00https://echo360.org/media/6fb2314f-7747-4c98-be4c-c666ca0c1392/public?startTimeMillis=2853371

The University must also invest $3 million in the baseball field in the ballpark over the next five years https://www.lowellsun.com/2022/07/27/city-to-sell-lelacheur-park-to-umass-lowell-for-1-million/

Lots 4 and 5 are opportunity zoned so the developer will most likely want the tax incentive https://www.lowellma.gov/1227/Opportunity-Zones

Would be nice if they put some decent places to eat or get coffee in lot 3. Right now the only walking distance place is the El Jefe taco bar but I refuse to go there. There are a lot of mostly empty lots that could be developed and that particular area is actually pretty nice.

Unfortunately I feel as though Lelacheur will be torn down eventually without the Spinners. Don’t see it being worth it for Umass to maintain it.

- They will be using the facility for the athletics baseball team

- One of the goals is to renovate the facility and attracting another team. If they are able to do this it would be amazing for Lowell. Worcester's new team seems to be very successful. They are developing the surrounding area.
