Last year 12/9-1/9 unitil bill $359 with gas range.

This year CMP basically same dates; bill with heat pump $659.

Not trolling and no extras since last year.

Gas $350 (w/o heat pump) - 100 (w/ heat pump) = + $250

So for one month you’re down $50? Better to look at the cost difference over the course of a year.

I switched my account info for autopay a few months ago which made it skip the autopay for the first month and saw similar numbers - it was due to a missed payment which I immediately payed. Take a look at your bill and see if that is the case.
