Anyone know if there is a method on the way they are sending them? Alphabetical, SS number, etc.

I'm to lazy to find my last year's to get my AGI.

I do not know for sure, but my theory is that it’s based on the date you filed your state taxes last year (in other words, the earlier you filed the earlier you get your check). Basing this theory solely on the order in which my family members received them relative to when they filed their taxes (so, sample size of 3, lol).

Kind of .. as long as you filed 2021 taxes before 10/31/2022 and meet income requirements you’ll get the check. If you got the $850 it’ll be sent to the same address

I recently moved but the 850 was sent to my previous address. Will the 450 be forwarded to my new address or do I gotta go shake down my ex shitty landlord?

Only if you set up mail forwarding with the post office. Otherwise you can contact the state to change the address. There's a link floating around in some other comments that should tell you how to go about that.

Oh I didn’t know I had to set up forwarding. I changed my address and all and just assumed that they forward anything after I changed it. At least that’s how it’s worked before. My check was sent out on the 3rd and I still don’t have it. So I might need to call.

Did you get the $850 check? If you did you shouldn’t have to worry or do anything but wait. 1st round of checks went out 1/31 and are now being received.

How did you file ? It takes less time to log in to most tax filing sites to grab your prior year taxes then it did to probably type what you did haha

Hope this helps!

https://portal.maine.gov/refundstatus/payment For when you do find the energy to get your agi the above link will give you answer or you can simply call the Maine tax people. They are not like calling the IRS lol
