Amazing. You can take it apart, stuff the foam it came with into the case, and lube the stabs with a syringe (if you have one), and you'll be good to go.

Can i get the link for the board plzzz ??

AnchorStandard t1_j18ygt0 wrote

Most of the cheap keyboards on Amazon are just dropshipped from Alibaba.

The company name doesn't matter, its just a storefront for the factory itself, which likely produces GK61 and similar chinese keyboards.

Most of the cases and PCBs likely use the same holes as the GK61 or the GH60, so just search those on AliExpress

Noice, I got the kemove and I'm waiting for my Glorious Pandas (pre-lubed) to arrive. I spent 12h lubing my current switches and don't wanna repeat it tbh. Would you say the factory lube is sufficient?

Stacemanspaceman t1_j17ze2p wrote

12 hours seems like a very long time to lube switches, was it more than a keyboards worth?

4

crefas t1_j1827h6 wrote

The glorious switches cost 4 times the keyboard xD

bigannoyingbanana t1_j18c54a wrote

Nono, the time is weird. I took about 3 1/2 hours each for both my sets of switches

1

Stacemanspaceman t1_j19ckor wrote

Sorry, I meant one keyboards worth as in did you only lube 80ish keys?

0

crefas t1_j19hy9f wrote

60 keys but I didn't have a switch opener or an adequate brush

1

jcoffin1981 t1_j17l6r7 wrote

You will always be happier doing it yourself. Use your lube of choice and in the correct amount.

I'm waiting for the day when keyboard enthusiasts stop shilling their aircraft grade 50 dollar/gram lube for two pieces of plastic rubbing together.

Why’s there so much space between the keys?

Amazon Keycaps are just like that

Amax101 t1_j19auv4 wrote

I’ve bought amazon keyboards and they’ve never looked like that, it’s the overall build bro

−2

Professional-Pop6632 t1_j1av21t wrote

Bro are you retarted? It’s the Keycaps, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the build it’s just that the Keycaps are bad quality which is why they are so small.

Ya but if you need your keypad you can get juuusttt a keypad in addition. Then you could punch in numbers overtop your head if you wanted.

Check out the keychron v6. (Also Akko > ducky)

Simster275 t1_j18cqb4 wrote

Yeah keychron is the solid cheaper, don't want to really try going too deep etc option.

Check some 96%/1800 boards for something a touch different (keychron V5 instead of V6 for K4V2)

bigannoyingbanana t1_j18ctr4 wrote

Yep, the compact full size with the arrow keys slightly lower than the bottom row is perfection

1

hollownexus63 t1_j188r09 wrote

You could get a separate num pad and use that as a first build before building a tenkeyless or 75% keyboard.

0

cognitiveglitch t1_j189i0i wrote

You could build a stand-alone keypad, possibly with extra funky stuff like volume knob and media buttons on it?

FlyBabyDragon t1_j18xtee wrote

Looks good! I really suggest you lube the stabs, bandaid and tape mod, and add foam inside the keyboard, it’ll make it sound sooo much better!
