When I teach students to count 6/8 I like to have them practice with fun songs. So far I've only used We Are the Champions, Somebody to Love, and Aeroplane Over the Sea. Anyone else have some good ones that kids would enjoy?

Kiss From a Rose by Seal is either 3/4 or 6/8

It could be notated either way, but typically 3/4 is reserved for waltzes, where the snare hits on beat 3 of every measure. If the snare hits on beat one of what would be the second measure of 3/4 it’s generally written as one bar of 6/8 with the snare hitting on beat 4.

Not a pop song tho; but it’s pretty fun to learn. Lots of complex sounding parts that are relatively not complex lol hope that makes sense.
