So I mainly grew up with emo,rock and alt genres (that’s what my style is based on) and a bit of rnb and soul.
i would say besides emo and rock soul/rnb is my fav.
i wanna get more into rnb/soul though so I’m definitely open to recommendations !

Go back to the source and listen to everything Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Al Green recorded (the catalogs aren't that big). You'll enjoy everything you listen to afterwards more.
