Not saying he didn't always, but he really started massively pushing the boundaries of his sound starting with Transcendental Blues. I'd rather artists take risks and have a few failures than fall into a safe rut and churn out more of the same.

So much amazing music out there! When you get in that "let's catch this unknown band for 10 bucks" mentality, not only are you getting to see a new act in their prime, you never know when you're doing the equivalent of getting to catch the next Nirvana before they get discovered.

I saw all the best 70s and 80s bands in their prime and I'd much rather go catch 20 new bands for the price it costs to get nose bleed seats for a Metallica concert now.

Noel doesn't really want it or need it. He'll do it if his brother admits he needs him, but Liam's never going to do it. I don't see it happening. Only way they're going to reconcile is if Liam admits he screwed up and drove Noel away.

I personally don't want it. Noel's been making the best music of his career since leaving Oasis and he's been in a solid groove since topping the charts is no longer his main priority.

That gets hard because there's so much overlap between hard rock and heavy metal and a bit of debate to which bands belong in which categories.

Heavy metal: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead
Hard rock: Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, Scorpions, Aerosmith or Deep Purple

Diiv, Herzog, Pinkshinyultrablast.

Or just check out my spotify. I don't sort by genre but by year, but about 90% of the groups I use are lesser to completely unknown indie/alternative rock bands.

Isn't there a law/rule in the screen guild union (or whatever) that actors can't have the same name? A number of actors have to switch or change their names up because of that. Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there's like no choice there, it's more than just a branding thing.

If that's the case, then JB "took" the name before DJB had the chance.

DJB sounds cooler anyways.

English speaker and I love listening to music in other languages for a number of reasons:

  1. Exposure to different sounds and styles.
  2. To see what they do differently when performing a song in a familiar style.
  3. Poorly written or shallow lyrics will ruin a song for me. When I can't understand what they're saying, the vocals just become an instrument and enhance the song in a different way. More concentration is put on the harmonies or emotions than the actual lyrics.

I usually stick to something rock/punk/indie/alt based, but I'm pretty open to any style and have even found non-English rap groups I liked more than their western counter parts.

I've got a few songs on my indie playlist that are in French or German. I've found a few Spanish groups (Spanish Spanish, not just singing in Spanish) that I love. I mostly stick to Japan though because they have such a massive music industry that it's easy to find a lot of different, amazing groups.

Something anyone can vibe to.

Nah, when I was 15 I hated popular music and only listened to music from the 60s and 70s. From there I branched out to different decades, genres and styles.

You're going to take a long journey musically and have a lot of great memories. Enjoy the ride. Best stuff is always down the path less traveled.
