I feel like the references to being asked to dinner and feeling the touch of love again pushes it in the romantic direction but could totally be seen as an unspecified loss. He's made a couple comments here and there in live performances but dont think anything for sure cementing it. Def a heavy one and a feeling I think most people still feeling the fresh wounds can attest to.
