If they had more of a Black Crows vibe going instead of hair metal, they’d have found more long term success. I don’t think they are underrated though, Keifer gets a lot of respect

They were really a bluesy rock band hiding behind a hair metal image. Kind of like Dangerous Toys (far more southern rock than glam), and Saigon Kick (if anything, they were kind of a bridge act between 80s hard rock and 90s grunge).
