Hi! Hope everyone is having a great day!

So I was listening to the album 'Vitalogy' and was one more time impressed with the drum work of Dave Abruzzese. Although he didn't record 'Ten' I think he gave a extra bust of energy and tastefulness in the live perfomances of those songs.

Don't get me wrong I love Matt Cameron, in fact his work in Soundgarden it's utterly astounding. But for some reason I think Dave was a better match for Pearl Jam's style. In my opinion there's something that change drastically after 'Vitalogy' and the next album weren't as good for me.

What do you think? Do you prefer Abruzzese or Cameron?

Cameron it's an amazing drummer, I particularly love how he handled those odd times in Soundgarden

Dave was the heartbeat of that band in the early days. Until Matt Cameron came along, there’s was just a revolving door at drums.

I thought the first drummer was a better fit.

He quit to put himself in rehab. Matt Chamberlain was pretty good too. The first two times I saw PJ Dave had not joined yet. They were exceptional.

Dave Abbruzzese's playing is a bit too "bashy-crashy" for my tastes compared to Matt Cameron or Dave Krusen
