I started djing in 2002 at the age of 15 as well. Twenty years and I’m still going.

That’s what’s UP!

When I was 15 any DJ over 30 was like an ALIEN to me lol… I NEVER thought I’d even make it to 40. I figured the collapse would have happened by now and we’d all be Mad Maxing it ;)

…and then there’s guys like David Rodigan. I saw him ROCK a crowd of like 15 000 people at age 70, dancing like a maniac, climbing up on the DJ table and giving this epic history of Jamaican music set from the 1960s up to the 2010s.

It was LIFE CHANGING.

I want to be like David Rodigan when I’m 70.

I’ll never stop!

Been DJing since 16 in 1998 and it’s so fun to look back on this era when we had to bring record crates and needles. The technological advances have made things easier and mostly better - but the innovation back then is still mind boggling to me.

Glad you’re still doing it! I’m a hobbyist these days but still have so much fun with it.

Yeah I do NOT miss hauling a fat recycling crate miles through the muck at for those long festival sets… I think I felt my forearm muscle rip a bit on the way out one time *shudders.

1997..back when dj’ing actually involved skill and timing. No computers, ecstasy was pure. Vibes were chill, and people actually took care of eachother.
