These ladies are my dads age, she’s probably a Rebecca(Becky), Peggy, or a Susan. The Eleanor, Madge, Mildred crew was the generation before.

Sheila_Monarch t1_iya2k48 wrote

You’re right. I just want to believe it was Madge LOL. But almost certainly it was a Peggy or Susan

My mom is named Kathy and she has a friend named Linda. The boomer women had a few basic names.

Slickness81 t1_iyc1389 wrote

It’s kinda all generations, I coached cheerleading for fifteen years, and every 3 years or so there were about 10 names every kid had

3

Velouria91 t1_iyc1ehb wrote

My name is Kelly. I was born in the early 70s. When I was a kid, there were lots of Kellys, Jennifers, Michelles, and Melissas.

Gotta be one Betty in that bunch.

Slickness81 t1_iyc01wk wrote

Would have probably been a Liz or Beth at that era, Liz Taylor was in her prime, so most Elizabeth’s would have probably gone with Liz… Betty from the Flintstones came out in 1960, so she too was a tribute to the generation just before this one.
