looks like a run of the mill late 70s Gibson les paul standard gold top. in the first song, i could see a side shot that shows the "pancake" bodies of the Norlin era(70s and 80s) where there is a thin layer of maple pancaked between the top and back that are mahogany. the 50s lps were solid mahogany backs.

I seen him play at Albany State near as me to you in the early '80s.

We were laying around our dorm one fall day when a friend burst in and said "Dickie Fucking Betts is playing 200 yards from here and no one is there!" We trotted over to find a very poorly promoted Dickie Betts playing from a small stage to about 50 people.
