Yes, it's so terrible for another human being to be recovering.

For what it's worth, I tend to agree with you.
I was all for the guy. I was so happy he won.
But I knew that the stroke was not a good omen. I knew that stroke victims are often never the same. I knew that depression and emotional changes often occur.
So I always thought he was headed for worse. I knew it was coming.
It makes it all the more sad, because I really believed in what he stood for, and I was hopeful that he was going to make some great changes.
He still may. But the odds are not in his favor.

"Giving a fuck" about someone and questioning their ability are not mutually exclusive. Why are you so angry btw? Seems pretty overboard.

I was told during the election that fetterman was doing great and would be able to represent Pennsylvania citizens. If we had a situation like a train derailment carrying toxic chemicals we would have fetterman to go to bat for us and get us what we needed from the feds.
Then he gets in office and suddenly it was all fake, and I’m the bad guy for being upset over that?

Dude its been 2 months and he had a health emergency. Maybe actually give him some time to be a senator before jumping to such a conclusion

I have good news for you, the feds are already on it. The Governor of Ohio has already stated that President Biden told him they will give him anything he needs. You no longer have to worry about John Fetterman taking care of this. All the Governor has to do is ask and he will get the support.

The “state” doesn’t need him but the citizens could use some representation. It was a bit lacking under Toomey or did you forget?
throwawayamd14 t1_ja9ocx1 wrote
Lol I am not a Republican voter
PaApprazer t1_ja9osdi wrote
Lol, didn’t say you were. Doesn’t change the fact that if you are a Pennsylvanian, Toomey was your senator for 3 fucking terms. What a waste of anyone’s vote
throwawayamd14 t1_ja9ozwv wrote
And? That was then, this is now. I don’t really care about whataboutism from the past. PA probably some shitty senators in the 1800s too. Who cares, it’s in the past
PaApprazer t1_ja9pob4 wrote
Toomey was just last year, dude. Chill with the drama.
Yes, this is now! Time for someone that cares about the citizens of Pennsylvania to play a big role in shaping legislation at the national level!
throwawayamd14 t1_ja9pzpi wrote
Don’t think he’s shaping legislation too much considering he’s still recovering from a stroke and is current inpatient in a psych-ward
SamuelLCompassion t1_ja9w2eq wrote
Which legislative discussions or votes are you most disappointed that he's missed so far?
PaApprazer t1_jaaawkz wrote
TIL Walter Reed National Military Medical Center = psych-ward! 🫡
Considering he just started a 6 year term, I’m good

throwawayamd14 t1_jaco39t wrote
Yes, it’s clear you were trying to mock me but Walter Reed does have an in patient psychiatric ward. It is called “Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit” and it’s in 7 west.
It’s for in patient psychiatric treatment which is what his team said he was getting.
