Lakes, creeks, rivers, ponds, anything. Maybe less popular and off the beaten path. Not afraid to do a bit of hiking.

Whipple Dam State park in centre county is pretty nice. I went there a lot when I was at Penn State, it’s pretty close
Parker Dam State Park near Clearfield PA is a stunningly beautiful park.

When I was a kid the local swimming hole was Brown Springs in Anderson Creek. Not very far from Parker Dam.
I’ve done this one! Or as we locals call it, the ‘Howard Dam’ ;)
I went there a ton when I was a kid! Current PSU student, maybe I should check it out again :)
Haven’t been there, I will have to check it out!
There will be loads of Penn staters there when the weather warms up. Should be easy to find a ride.
I hear the water is a bit chilly right now.
I wouldn’t call it off the beaten path but black moshannon state park has a swim area. Use to go to it a lot as a kid.
