Doesn't matter. I think the entire situation is tragic.

Unsettling as all hell that there are just people out there like this.

While tragic, it is a double tragedy- this was a 14 year old mentally ill girl. She needs serious help.

50% of people will be just ā€œdiagnosedā€ with mental illness i bet the true number is higher. We could probably say their is mental illness involved in every crime.

Did you read the news article? Sheā€™s 16 now. So would have been 14 at the time. And was suffering from command auditory hallucinations. Far from being a ā€œ wild takeā€ Iā€™ve seen people with command hallucinations. Itā€™s not a pretty sight. I suspect actually experiencing them is rather distressing.

Locking someone away does not fix psychosis.you should read ā€œThe quiet room ā€œ by Lori Schiller. Sheā€™s a now adequately medicated schizophrenic who suffered command auditory along with some visual hallucinations for several years. She describes what that is like in detail.

I mean when I first read this I thought maybe the other sister wrote down for her to do it because she didnā€™t want to live. I met them before at a family party and the little one in the wheel chair couldnā€™t move or really communicate.
