When you go to the juror interview thing just tell them you hate cops and couldn’t be unbiased in a trial.

Theres a phone number you can call the night before and they should be able to tell you if you even need to show. Theres a good chance they won't need you

If you're going that route might as well say you believe in jury nullification. Prosecutors hate this one simple trick.

If you pay child support there is a good chance you will be excused. You just need to add it to the comment section in the questionnaire.

On the summons it will have instructions. It usually says to call the night before after 5pm to check to see if you need to show up.

It also might depend on what county it’s from. The more populated yes, the less populated you probably have to go since they don’t have a big enough jury pool.

Some counties can be lenient and reschedule it depending on circumstances. I know someone self employed who has done it twice because it was during a busy season and would affect their income. Not sure if they will care it's your day off.

Its against the law for employers to deny time off for jury duty. But they dont have to pay you but many will but only 8hrs.

I didn't end up having to go but when I went I was going with a three pronged argument of I can't be unbiased against cops in a trial, I know about jury nullification and eyewitness testimony is actually really unreliable as my reasoning to say that I would vote to acquit regardless of the law or the evidence.
