I was laid off involuntarily in August as well. I had several issues that needed to be corrected like the wrong address on file. Could not open a new claim with the wrong address. Their phone number gives a busy signal and disconnects. I emailed numerous times with no reply. I finally contacted my local senator and their office put in an inquiry with the department of Labor and unemployment finally gave me a call. They updated my address and I thought I would be fine to file. But because it took so long for them to get back to me my claim date was well passed my last day worked so I had to get a hold of them again. I tried messaging them internally through my UC dashboard with no luck. I had my local senator's office reach out to them again and they contacted me again and they had to ask me a whole bunch of questions making sure I attempted to contact them otherwise a supervisor would have had to get involved. After about 6 or 8 weeks all my issues were finally resolved and I was finally able to claim all of my time off and I got my money within a week or so after that. I asked the lady on the phone she said they are just wildly outnumbered as far as claims and reps available. Try contacting your local senator or congressman's office to help you out. Good luck.
