Good, they can be put to work then cleaning up the trash.

You want the fire department to waste their time cleaning up political signs they likely didn't even put up?
andrewjm13 t1_ivphwap wrote
Fire companies are considered public domain meaning they cannot take down signs other put up unless you see an actual firefighter putting up the signs they were probably placed by someone else
McKlown t1_ivpx2dq wrote
So it's okay to vandalize public property but it's not okay to clean up public property? Well that sounds ass-backwards.

Some states require post offices to have 1 sign from each candidate up something about fair practices

It's fine if that is a polling place and the signs were not otherwise placed there by members of 501(c)(3) fire company.

My first thought is that some jagoff pulled over and put them there, and the FD had nothing to do with it.

I don’t think the firefighters put up those signs. Look at where they are placed? That patch of grass is public property (wow that sounds so silly to say lol)

I was wondering the same when my local firehouse was the site of a Mastriano rally back in September. I figured maybe they rented it but that even that could be problematic.

Its in a public right of way/sidewalk Its not on the fire department property at all. Nothing illegal about it at all.
Speakslinux t1_iw5j7k2 wrote
The other thing that might be happening here is that it is a official polling place

I’m not sure if they did or someone else since I guess it public property but dr obryon’s had oz and mastriano Signs and shows nothing but Fox News. Along with all their religions bs. I didn’t think doctors could do all that. Especially since their part of penn highlands
drunkmonkey176 OP t1_ivpfoto wrote
Penn Highlands has Fox News or the 700 Club bullshit on all over the place. It's revolting to wait in one of their offices. * LOL bring on the down votes you primitive screw-heads. I love the taste of your salty tears!
greasemonkeyswife t1_ivr3cat wrote
Wow I didn’t know that. I can’t believe they can do that. But penn highlands does do what they want. Totally incompetent. When it comes down to it I don’t care about your politics or religion I just don’t want to hear it at the doctors. I’m already uncomfortable being there.

That wouldn't happen. A fire company full of liberals would be decent enough not to pollute the community with their beliefs.
happyjazzycook t1_ivquizw wrote
Yep, public property. My family lives near there and I have to say, it is hard to find any stretch of road without an Oz or Mastirano sign. I just hope they're all down before I have to visit again, it's tough enough to deal with the Trump 2024 and FJB banners flying all over the damn place.

If they're volunteer-based, it's probably fine.
