Why not? People in high school can get jobs and earn money.

Kids can act and get millllllllions of dollars. Kids can become musicians and get rich.

So why not athletes? They spend just as much time working on their craft as musicians and actors.

They are student athletes. Students first, remember? If we want to start paying players to be part of a minor league program than we need to make one, but right now sports are an extra curricular activity.
