Pennsburg resident here. My family has been in the area for generations, but my wife and I moved here pre-pandemic. Feel free to DM with any questions. I'd be happy to better tailor my suggestions.
Green Lane park is the local place to walk or hike. Tosco's is where you'll want to get takeout, though the PC Pub is popular too. The Palm Tavern down the road in Palm, PA is our favorite dive-ish bar with decent food (and trivia on Tuesdays at 7). Powderbourne is a local breakfast spot and skeet shooting range (order the bacon, trust me). Oh and Publication is a cool new brewery that just moved into the old newspaper building.
All in all, pretty standard small town vibes. There's a lot of change going on because of these new developments going up, which is bittersweet. Lots of local history and kind PA German folk. Farmers markets, swap meets, mom and pop shops. Kitschy holiday parades down Main St. I love my home town.
