Public defender attorney positions are union jobs with salaries tied
to a labor deal with one year remaining. The starting salary for public
defenders in the county is about $51,000 a year.

keep in mind, to be an attorney its 4 years of college, then 2 - 3 years of law school, then you need to pass some insanely hard tests... in order to make 24.50 an hour.

If they want ADA's, there is an easy solution... do the job for 5 years at 24.50 an hour, and 50% of your student loan debt is removed, at 10 years, all the rest is removed. So by 35, they have 10 years experience, and 0 student loan debt, and can go do whatever else they want to do with their career while they are replaced with new attorneys.

As long as they offer shit wages, shit work hours, and basically shitty clients, they are going to never have enough.

If you do it for 10 years you're eligible for PSLF and your remaining loans would be forgiven.

Any payments when you make 52k a year are basically impossible
