Sorry for your loss! Dealing with your mother estate can be challenging, just speaking from experience! Call a few title places! Shop around, it’s a business! Each business charges different fees! You will need a death certificate and title when you go! Ask what documents you need to complete the process!

Thank you
They got it down to $143.
My dad just did it today at our local notary place.
Thats a lot in fees on top of the $58.
Could it have been done at the DMV?

Yes at the dmv it would have only cost the 58 bucks

Fuck. Too late now.

Is $143 still high for a simple title transfer?

No I think with the class of vehicle, state fees, notary fees and processing fees, this is a fair price! If you buy from a dealer they include in the processing fees!

I am not sure if $58 is the final dollar amount, but maybe! We have always used title business due to DVM hours and wait lines are nightmare!🤷♀️

I don't think the DMV does anything for titles, only licensing, as far as I know it's only notaries that handle title and license plates in PA.

Damn, i would have waited in line for 20 minutes to save $90. Thats an insane markup for doing nothing basically. Fuck

Alway investigated the process🤷♀️

PA doesn’t have a “DMV” like you’re thinking that most other states have
