The Armory was a badly implemented, thrown apart non-solution that isn't meeting the needs of the people it was serving. It doesn't even have indoor bathrooms, for fucks sake. Seems like it was a pretty transparent attempt to move the unhoused people from downtown into... wherever they could-- in this case a heavily used neighborhood park. So in that way, yeah, I'm in agreement with WBNA. It's not a permanent solution, and I suppose it's not going to serve anyone to let the state act like it is. So perhaps a firm deadline is a good approach.

But I also live across from the park, run there nearly daily as a woman, and I think a lot of these complaints are totally blown out of proportion. Are there unhoused people clustered in groups hanging out? Yes. Is there some kind of dramatic increase in sirens and crime? Nah, that's just WBNA being.... WBNA.

Well put. We need to solve the underlying issue and stop passing these folks around like a game of hot potato.

You run their daily now…as time goes on it’s likely you’ll change your pattern.

Attack after attack after attack on women joggers all over the country when encampments get set up is just how these things play out .

It’s not their fault because many of them are mentally Ill but that does nothing for women who might want to walk in their own neighborhood unmolested.
