This made me laugh out loud!
I should have added…find the guy with Connecticut plates for a life long happy friend.
I don’t know I find the employees at the DMV in Cranston to be some of the peachiest people in the entire state.
Depends on the floor. I’m CDL. The people on the 3rd floor are great. We can even joke around with them.
Me too
Interests include Bob Dylan, UPS, and discussing his curved penis.
It might not be RI'ers that are the problem, pal.
“To the left” ya bud we see
Try craigslist. Everyone there is nice, get in the car with them
Social sports leagues. Freeplay arcade. Certain meet up groups.
Freeplay is a great place! I’ve had some nice chats with people there. Everyone is usually friendly.
Not on reddit, that's for damn sure.
For real. A bunch of assholes
Get off my lawn!

i had a hard time meeting people after covid- still pretty hard. I like photography so i started bringing my camera everywhere i go and its been a spark of a conversation with a ton of people ive managed to become friends with. Idk if you have a hobby like that- but maybe something akin
Bring a prop with you when you leave your residence. Use prop in public. People ask you about the prop who are interested in said prop.
So let's discuss interesting prop ideas one could bring with to use in a public setting to attract interactions to develop relationships.
I'll go first, a jar of peanut butter
Everyone is going to think you're trying to find a dog
Cute dogs are the ultimate prop to meet people
I would definitely strike up a conversation with someone with a jar of peanut butter as their companion. You’d have to be interesting or at least have good taste.
I broke my wrist in Hawaii and EVERYONE was nice to me in my sling. I'm hanging onto it.
Great advice
Dispensary. Pizza shop. In that order.
Also nothing else. Goodluck!
Tetra in wakefield*
Massachusetts
Massholes??
The sarcasm is strong with this one
Ri. Nice people? I don’t understand the question.
Twin River. They're nice, strange and inebriated. Lol jk. That place is a black hole.
Stay the hell out of Twin River....unless you are offering to change people diapers and go get thier social security payments from the ATM for them so they don't lose thier seats at thier favorite losing bank of machines.
I was there last night for a free show at the lounge. I didn't spend any $$ nor would I have but the people watching opportunities were at pre-covid levels. I hadn't been in at least a decade and I hope it's another decade before I return. Sheesh what a trainwreck.
That place is just horrible.
I went once, and the only people under 70 looked like Russian mafia guys. Unreal.
It's a triune of cancer, addiction and diabetes
RI beer club does monthly meet ups. Everyone has been really nice. I don't drink but alot of the breweries have had some great options amd delicious food. It's cool to see new spots around the state too
Probably some place that people with similar hobbies as yours gather?
D&D, Magic Card Nights, Pokemon Nights, etc.. Frequent your Card shops. You tend to sit directly across from a variety of people. Dive head first into various activities, see if one catches your interest and wins you over.
Try out Untapped Games in pawtuxet providence border. Though these kinds of hobbies come in with a price since it's a buiness, though cheap. I recommend.
I’m fucking nice.
Me too ☺️hahaha
The ACI nicest people I’ve ever met. Very welcoming
Meetup groups are good I met some great people thru that. Other than that see if you can found a common interest group at a local library or hang around events in providence
Titty bar
Book stores........ Not adult book stores :-/
Come to the Cranston Armory... you will meet the nicest people.
Thrift shops. I always meet cool people of all ages while thrifting.
What shops you recommend? I’m trying to get into thrifting myself
Northern Thrift is a gem
I love Jonnycake in Westerly.

Thats practically Canada, ive never left Rhode Island a day in my life /s
You're not wrong. There are a ton of Canadians there.
Nah, Canadians can read.....
After work at a local pub - - 5-6 on a scale of 1-10
I went to Asia Grill last night to get a Mai Tai by myself and met a real nice older lady having a scorpion bowl by herself.
I met lots of great neighbors through volunteering. There's a Cozy Rhody group that picks up trash. The PNPP.org plants trees in spring and fall. You can volunteer at theaters, like Wilbury, and get to see a show for free.
I met some good friends through Meetup. Join groups that interests you. There's a great beer group, a few great hiking groups, etc.
Get a dog. You'll meet plenty of people if it's an approachable dog. I take mine for walks in my neighborhood, and to the Hope Street Farmers Markets.
Go to The Flea and farmers market. They're free to browse. Lots of good people there.

Don't ask me,, all my hobbies are loner activities or dark or weird shit Rhode Islanders have never heard of.
I find most nice people in the western part of the state, places like Coventry, West Greenwich, Exeter, Foster, Hopkinton and Gloster. Also, Tiverton and Little Compton in the east has very nice people. This is my honest answer as I find most city folk a little harsh at times.
The providence place mall, especially the food court. Lovely area

I'm nice and from RI but live in Massachusetts!🤣🤣🤣A Massachusetts joke
Depends on what you're into. What are some hobbies and then look for some groups.
